GO FORTH TO MEET HIM

Who maketh us to differ from another?
And what have we that we did not receive?
'Twas it not mightily the hands of a loving Father?
Be not troubled, be not deceived.

Let thine heart go forth to meet Him
Love Him with an inner strength
With all thy soul, rejoice in His sweet love,
And in His righteousness, be thou content.

The Father is glorious in His Holy character
Walk humbly before His face
Give unto Him the honor due His Name,
And be ye blessed in His wondrous grace.

HE IS OURS

Knowing that He is WISE causes our gladness
Knowing that He is MIGHTY causes our rejoicing
Knowing He is EVERLASTING causes our happiness
Knowing he is UNCHANGING causes us to sing.

REJOICE...

For He is full of grace, yes, grace flowing deep and wide
And His favor keeps us always near to His side
He is ours forever and in Him we abide
Even as His love perfects us ~ no we are not denied.

Let God's people sing unto the Lord
Let them tell of His mighty and majestic ways
Let them never cease to sing sweet, sweet songs ~
For His mercies flow tenderly throughout their days.

UNBELIEF

Unbelief dishonors Christ
Among hateful things it is the most abhorred
Its injurious nature is venomous
And its bite hastens to kill and destroy.

Jesus is the Son of the Most High God
His glory truly knows no end
Would it not be cruel for a wife to mistrust a faithful husband?
Then let not thine heart be ruled by sin.

Away, away with this traitorous unbelief!
Its only errand is to cause thee grief
The lie that you have no Saviour
Shall forever sever you from swirling belief.

WORKS OF PROSE by Jettie Hess

WE ARE GOD'S CHILDREN

He bought us with His blood and brought us nigh unto Himself.  He has
set  His perfect eye upon us and loved us with an everlasting love -- a love
that the coolest of earthly waterfalls cannot quench, or the hottest flame
(in the highest degree) cannot diminish.

We have a sweet relationship which allows us to call Him "Father,"
"Abba, Father."  We can look to Him and cry, "my Lord and my God."  We can
read His Word and find instruction and, yes, much comfort...

Like ears of corn fully ripe
We shall one day be gathered home
Our eyes shall behold His glory
Shimmering gloriously from a holy throne.

We'll not sorrow that we were believers
Only rejoice in the gift of grace
Life's conflicts are now all behind us
And before us is our Father's face.

CHRISTIAN PEACE

Never let anything push you to your wit's end, because you will get
worried and worry makes you self-interested and disturbs the nourishment of the
life  of God in you.  The secret of Christian peace is not indifference, but
the knowledge that God is my Father, He loves me ... I shall never think of
anything He will forget!

THE HEART OF THE CROSS

The cross was not something God thought up at the last minute.  From
the moment of Adam's fall, the plan of the cross was put in motion.  The
heart of the cross, the sacrificial love that resulted in the sending of
Jesus to die, has always been in the heart of the Father.  His love is absolute;
the cross was simply its greatest expression.
